What data do we need for Intrastat and how does the exchange occur?

We use the same data for Intrastat reporting as we do for regular filings. The only additional information we require are the 'tariff numbers' for products shipped to or from the country for which we are submitting the Intrastat report. We request these tariff numbers from our clients on a monthly basis.

Data Required for Intrastat:

  • Same Data as Regular Filings:
    • The data used for Intrastat reporting includes information that you already provide for regular VAT filings.
  • Additional Information - Tariff Numbers:
    • Tariff Numbers: These are specific codes that classify goods based on their nature and purpose. They are essential for identifying products in international trade.
    • We request these tariff numbers monthly to ensure accurate and compliant Intrastat reports.

Tip: Ensuring that all data, especially the tariff numbers, are accurate is crucial for compliance with Intrastat reporting requirements. You should provide updated tariff numbers regularly to avoid any discrepancies.
